Kazakhstan Paramount Engineering (KPE), the joint venture between the global aerospace and technology company, Paramount Group and one of Kazakhstan’s leading defence and engineering companies, Kazpetromash, has announced that its flagship and next-generation 8×8 Infantry Combat Vehicle (ICV), the Barys 8×8, has successfully completed a four-year series of trials conducted by the Ministry of Defence of Kazakhstan, bringing the vehicle a step closer to its first production order. The Barys (‘Snow Leopard’ in Kazakh) is the localised version of Paramount Group’s Mbombe 8 (ICV) and was unveiled for the first time at the KADEX Exhibition of 2016. Over the span of four years, the Barys was tested throughout the mountainous terrains of Southern Kazakhstan, across the forested and savannah-like steppe and the salt marshes of Central Kazakhstan. Rohde & Schwarz extends RAAF deployed air operations capability - APDR

The first Transportable Air Operations Tower (TAOT), originally delivered in 2012, has rolled out of the Rohde & Schwarz Australia Systems Integration Facility following its major upgrade. It will be delivered to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) with completely modernized systems including internet protocol (IP) based voice communications and recording, airfield monitoring and control, network and time synchronization. Rolls-Royce Spirit of Innovation lays claim to world’s-fastest title

  Rolls-Royce has announced that its ‘Spirit of Innovation’ aircraft is now claimed to be the world’s fastest all-electric vehicle. Rolls-Royce had submitted the data to the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) – the World Air Sports Federation who control and certify world aeronautical and astronautical records – that at 15:45 (GMT) on 16 November 2021, the aircraft reached a top speed of 555.9 km/h (345.4 mph) over 3 kilometres, smashing the existing record by 213.04 km/h (132mph). In further runs at the UK Ministry of Defence’s Boscombe Down experimental aircraft testing site, the aircraft achieved 532.1km/h (330 mph) over 15 kilometres – 292.8km/h (182mph) faster than the previous record – and broke the fastest time to climb to 3000 metres by 60 seconds with a time of 202 seconds, according to Rolls-Royce data.
