Justis Huni to Fight for Olympic Gold

 A bold three-fight plan has been hatched to destroy the royal status of Australian heavyweight boxing as Justis Huni prepares to fight for Olympic gold.?But first Huni has to protect the unbeaten Fosso (3-0, 3KO), nicknamed ‘The Hammer’. Hunis will meet 110-pound refugee Arsene Fosso from Cameroon at the Brisbane Convention Centre after beating Faiga Opelu on his professional debut to win a national title.

Under the rules, Huni can fight up to 10 professional fights before the Olympics and is considered one of the top contenders for the heavyweight gold medal. The fight will be held at the Brisbane Convention Centre on Saturday night in front of more than 2,000 fans at the sold-out Brisbane Convention Centre. The rising star of Brisbane in the southwest, the Australian middleweight world champion will fight Tej Singh for the title. Since the Tokyo Olympics have been postponed to August 2021, Huni has four pro-fight plans, including the best domestic competition.

If successful, the 21-year-old will compete at next year’s Olympics in Tokyo, the Japanese capital and home of the 2021 Olympics. Also, if successful, he will aim for a gold medal at the World Championships in London next month. Huni is one of Australia’s brightest gold medal prospects but had to put his dream on hold due to COVID-19.

Arsene Fosso went 6-5 as an amateur fighting in Cameroon and is 18-3 (1KO) in his professional career, fighting from Qatar where he earned selection for the Tokyo Olympics. He made his middleweight debut at the World Boxing Championships in London in 2018 and has since fought in Australia, Germany, France, Italy, Japan and the US.

Fosso, who is preparing to fight a man whom many believe will become heavyweight champion of the world, is not afraid of Huni thanks to some of the tough experiences he’s dealt with in the past. He said, “I’m not afraid of him because I’ve gone through the hardest road of my life, but I’d love to face him.”
